Riva | The Campground Host Echidna | Rugaroo
Meet Riva, a 15cm heirloom Australian echidna doll from the Rugaroo collection.
Together with her partner Col, Riva runs Billabong Bend Campground, where travellers who plan to stay one night somehow end up staying for a week.
Riva is the heart of the camp kitchen. There's always a fresh batch of scones cooling on the bench, a tin of homemade bikkies within reach, and an egg mayo sandwich wrapped in wax paper for anyone who looks even slightly hungry. She knows everyone's name within five minutes of arrival and treats every camper like family.
You can usually hear Riva before you see her. Her infectious laugh echoes through the campground, and her wonderfully wicked sense of humour keeps everyone smiling. She has a knack for telling cheeky stories that make the grown-ups laugh while the little ones wonder what everyone found so funny.
Her favourite recipes are tucked safely between her spikes, worn soft from years of use, because some things are simply too precious to lose in a campground breeze.
She likes keeping Col busy, often calling out, "Fire up the billy, Col!" because, according to Riva, nobody brews billy tea with wild rosella quite like he does.
"Pop the kettle on, love."
"Fire up the billy, Col!"
"Have you had breakfast?"
"There's fresh scones in the camp kitchen."
Nobody leaves hungry.
A heartfelt addition to any Rugaroo collection, this heirloom echidna toy is made for little nurturers, kind hearts, and children who love caring for others. A thoughtful gift for children, grandmothers, campers, caravanners, and anyone who's ever been fed by a stranger who insisted they "just have a little something" before hitting the road again.
Pairs perfectly with Col the Campground Host, The Tinnie, and the Rugaroo Campground adventures.
